Custom Built for Britannia

The Systems

Every system on this server was built from scratch to make the world feel alive, dangerous, and worth mastering. Here is what is already running — and what is being built next.

PK Encounter System
Live PvP

PK Encounter System

The world is not safe. Over 40 named zones across Britannia, Ilshenar, Malas, Tokuno, and TerMur have their own AI player killers. Enter a dangerous area and one portals through to hunt you. The deeper you go, the more deadly the predator.

Seven archetypes — Classic Dexxer, Pure Mage, Necro Mage, Ninja, Paladin, Archer, Sampire — each with distinct tactics, gear, and spoken lines. Three tiers of difficulty scale with the zone. Entrance corridors spawn Novice killers. Deep boss floors spawn Experts. A 30-minute cooldown per zone prevents farming. No area of the world is truly free.
Hunter System
Live PvP Economy

Hunter System

Rare named creatures roam Britannia across four tiers of danger. Hunt them, claim their trophies, and bring them to the Guildmaster for Hunter Tokens — a currency you can only earn by taking risks.

The Wanted track adds a second dimension: Cutthroat, Murderer, and Dread Lord PKs carry active bounties. Kill one, take their severed head as proof, and cash it in for a bigger payout than any creature. Guildmaster NPCs are placed in Britain, Trinsic, and Minoc. The token shop carries exclusive rewards — items and bonuses unavailable anywhere else in the world.

World Atlas
Live Quality of Life

World Atlas

Every new character starts with a blessed World Atlas in their pack. Open it and every town, dungeon entrance, and moongate in Britannia is listed and clickable. No rune libraries. No moongate camping. The world is available from day one.

Teleporting through the Atlas requires a short channelling delay — it is not an instant escape from danger. The cooldown HUD counts it down. Locations are organised by category: Towns, Dungeons, Moongates. All 21 towns and 28 dungeon entrances across every facet are listed. The item is blessed and cannot be looted.
Skill Synergies
Live Quality of Life PvP

Skill Synergies

Your skills reward thoughtful builds. Related skills amplify each other in ways that compound the more you invest in a combination. Every point in a supporting skill has a visible payoff.

Anatomy combined with Healing boosts how much your bandages restore. Tracking, Forensics, and Camping each add a percentage to your weapon damage. Lumberjacking stacks on top of Blacksmithy for axe builds. Backstab gives a 200% damage multiplier on your first strike if you have 80+ Hiding and Stealth — but only works in PvM. Defensive synergies covering resistances, hit point bonuses, and regen rates are in development.
Cooldown HUD
Live Quality of Life

Cooldown HUD

A live overlay tracks every active skill cooldown on screen. You always know exactly when your next ability is ready — and exactly what is still locked out.

The HUD shows a skill name, a precise decimal countdown, and a colour-coded progress bar: green when ready, orange when close, red when freshly used. It covers all player-activated skills — Provocation, Peacemaking, Discordance, Healing, Hiding, the World Atlas teleport, and more. The display is draggable and auto-removes entries when they expire. No configuration needed.
Orb & Currency System
Live Economy

Orb & Currency System

Twelve types of orbs drop from creatures across the world, each tied to a damage school or character attribute. Essence Shards bind to your character and track how deep you have gone. Scrolls grant temporary power spikes before a fight.

Orbs are tradeable — the economy layer being built around them will let players specialise in farming specific types and trading for the ones their build needs. Essence Shards are character-bound and cannot be traded; they represent genuine progression. The crafting and advancement systems that consume Orbs and Shards are still in development, but the items and drop tables are already live.
Improved Item Search
Live Quality of Life

Improved Item Search

Finding a specific item across a full pack, multiple bags, and a bank vault used to mean opening everything one by one. The improved item search lets you locate any item instantly — no more hunting through containers.

Type a name or partial name and the search surfaces every matching item regardless of which container it is in. Results show the item name, quantity, and which bag it is sitting in. Useful for crafters managing materials, tamers tracking supplies, and anyone who has ever lost a spell reagent in the bottom of a sub-bag.
Bag of Holding
Live Quality of Life

Bag of Holding

A legendary container that defies the laws of weight. Store far more than any ordinary bag and carry the burden of a seasoned adventurer without being slowed to a crawl. An essential item for anyone who plays seriously.

The Bag of Holding reduces the total weight of its contents, letting you carry more without hitting your weight cap. It looks like any other bag but acts like none of them. Crafters, tamers, and dungeon runners who need to haul loot out of the deepest floors will find it invaluable. Obtainable through the Hunter token shop and other in-game means.
Crafter's Luck
Live Crafting

Crafter's Luck

Your Luck stat now directly influences the quality of items you craft with runic tools. The higher your Luck when you hammer out a piece of equipment, the better the chance of rolling top-tier magical properties.

In vanilla UO, runic tool property rolls ignored the crafter's Luck entirely — the hammer mattered, the person swinging it did not. On AIther, the crafter's real Luck is passed into every property roll via RunicReforging. This rewards dedicated crafters who invest in Luck equipment or receive Luck buffs before sitting down at the forge. Inscription scrolls also benefit from your Lower Reagent Cost gear — the LRC chance is rolled each attempt, and on success your reagents cost nothing, matching exactly how spell casting works.
Dungeon Chest Luck
Live Crafting Quality of Life

Dungeon Chest Luck

Dungeon chest loot is now rolled the moment you open the chest — using your Luck stat at that instant. Every point of Luck you have stacked actually matters when you reach down into that chest.

Vanilla ServUO generates chest item properties at spawn time, when no player is present and Luck is effectively zero. This makes all the Luck gear and Luck bonuses in the game meaningless for treasure hunting. On AIther, chests are spawned with plain items and property generation is deferred until the first player opens the lid. Your Luck is read at that moment and passed through the full LootPack luck chance table — so equipping Luck gear before you crack a chest is a real decision, not theatre.

Character Progression

Skill Gains & Synergies

Boosted Gain Rate

Skill gain has been multiplied across the board to make early progression feel rewarding without removing the challenge of the high end.

Skill Boost Orbs

Two orbs are available from the Hunter Token shop. Both are timed boosts — use them when you plan to grind.

Orb of Alacrity

Doubles skill gain frequency. Tiers: 10 / 20 / 30 minutes. Works even when your skills are at cap — steals from down-locked skills to fire a bonus tick.

Orb of Insight

Triples skill gain frequency via SkillCheck hook. Tiers: 15 / 30 / 60 minutes. Stacks with Alacrity for maximum grind speed.

Offensive Synergies

Supporting skills add flat % damage bonuses. All scale linearly 0–100.

What Is Being Built

🏰

12 AI Guild Factions

Blue, grey, and red guilds inhabit the world with daily schedules, rivalries, and territory. The world is never empty — even when no players are online.

Simulated Players

144 SimPlayers

AI-controlled characters hunt, bank, trade, and fight. Each has a personality, a home guild, and a daily routine. They react to players, to each other, and to world events.

Reputation System

Your standing with each of the 12 guilds shapes what quests you receive, what prices you pay, and whether their members are friendly or hostile on sight.

📜

Quest System

Hunt, clear, and delivery quests generated from SimGuild activity. Quests feel organic because they reflect what the AI factions actually need — not a static list.

📌

Bounty Board

Physical boards in towns post active bounties on PKs and rare targets. Find a target, claim the bounty. The board updates as the world changes.

🛡

Defensive Synergies

The second half of the skill synergy system — resistance bonuses, hit point increases, regen multipliers, and debuff reduction for builds that invest in the right combinations.
